Meet Marshall with Autism

My name is Marshall, I’m 23 years old and was diagnosed with autism at 15. I struggled throughout my childhood living with a single mother that passed away back in 2016. Also was raised on food stamps and child support. Dad was hardly in the picture. In school, I struggled with building friendships with others since I had social anxiety and depression. I felt I was an outcast from many. I knew I was different but understood that I can only be myself.

You can only be your true self. From those hardships, I learned we go through many obstacles as a child so it can make us stronger as we get older, so we can look back at how much we accomplished. My aunt and uncle took me in after my mother passed and I finished high school. I graduated and got my driver’s license at 18. Family will always be there for you no matter what. I just want to inspire others to follow their dreams and passions and never give up what on what they truly want in life. No matter what. That’s when I found my talent which was music: Christian hip hop!
